Captain Cook Stewart Park Trail

When Captain Cook Birthplace Museum in Middlesbrough asked us to create a pirate-themed discovery trail on their grounds in Stewart Park, we couldn't wait to set sail! This was a full project managed solution wherein we produced the map design, the icons for the rubbing posts, the information panels, and the trail brand…right down to sourcing the crayons!

Working with Abby and Owen was great and such a smooth process. A fantastic business.

Ahoy, Shipmates!

When Captain Cook Birthplace Museum in Middlesbrough asked us to create a pirate-themed discovery trail on their grounds in Stewart Park, we couldn't wait to set sail!

The pirate captain has spilt disappearing ink all over his map of the island. Kids and adults alike are encouraged to take their map (purchased at the museum gift shop), and fill in all the missing parts by making use of raised rubbing panels fixed to posts around the park, built and installed by The Prop Making Company. The rhymes on the posts act as clues as to which part of the map to fill in.

This was a full project managed solution wherein we produced the map design, the icons for the rubbing posts, the information panels, and the trail brand…right down to sourcing the crayons!
